Job description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Science Associate Internship at agoras Health. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and healthcare analytics within a dynamic startup environment. The internship will last for 3 months with the opportunity to transition into a paid position upon successful completion of this internship, during which a stipend will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets related to healthcare operations, patient outcomes, and recruitment metrics.
- Machine Learning:
- Support the development and implementation of machine learning models to extract insights and predict outcomes relevant to healthcare and recruitment.
- Data Visualization:
- Create clear and compelling visualizations of data findings to communicate insights and support decision-making.
- Research:
- Conduct research on data science techniques, algorithms, and emerging technologies applicable to healthcare analytics.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product developers, and business analysts to support data-driven decision-making and product development.
- Project Support:
- Assist in the execution of data science projects, from conceptualization through to implementation and evaluation.
- Documentation:
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility of analyses.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (recent graduates are also eligible).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in applying data science techniques to solve real-world challenges in healthcare and recruitment sectors.
- Knowledge or interest in healthcare technology solutions and/or recruitment processes is encouraged.
Compensation and Benefits:
- This internship is unpaid. However, agoras health is committed to offering a bonus (stipend) based on tenure and performance during the internship period.
